The major strategy for promoting the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle,which was personally planned and deployed by General Secretary Xi Jinping,has placed high hopes on the development of Wanzhou.The"Outline of the Construction Plan for the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle" mentioned Wanzhou in 10 places, bringing a once-in-alifetime strategic opportunity for the development of Wanzhou andendowing it withagreater missionand responsibility. 西部陸海新通道位于中國西部地區腹地，北接絲綢之路經濟帶，南連21世紀海上絲綢之路，協同銜接長江經濟帶，在區域協調發展格局中具有重要戰略地位。建設西部陸海新通道是習近平總書記著眼構建國家區域發展和對外開放新格局作出的重大部署，是國家“十四五”規劃重大工程，黨的二十大報告明確提出要加快建設西部陸海新通道。截至目前，已實現西部12省區市全覆蓋，輻射全國18個省區市69個城市138個站點，通達全球120個國家(地區)、400多個港口。
New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor
The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC) plays a unique strategic role in the regionalcoordinated development as it stretches across Western China,connects to the Silk Road EconomicBelt in the north,links with the 2lst Century Maritime Silk Road in the south,goes in tandem withthe Yangtze River Economic Belt,ILSTC is a major development made by General Secretary Xilinping taking into consideration of China's regional development and the new landscape ofopening-up endeavors.It is an important project in China's 14th Five-YearPlan.The Report to the2Oth CPC National Congress sets forth the mission to develop the ILSTC. The ILSTC has covered 12provinces in western China, accessing 138 stations in 69 cities of 18 provinces in China and over 400portsin 120 countries/regions.

Shipping: The Xintian Port is the only deepwater port in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River that can be navigated and allow ten-thousand-ton ships to berth all year round.It is also the only port in the city with railway tracks directly reaching the firstclass front platform.The New Western LandSea Corridor,the Yangtze River Golden Waterway and other transportation routes are efficiently connected in Wanzhou. Transporting goods via Wanzhou is of lower cost and higher efficiency.For example, through river-sea combined transportation, African ores can be directly shipped to Wanzhou, and the average freight for one ton is only 50 yuan.
鐵路：鄭萬高鐵開通運營,萬州融入國家“八縱八橫”高鐵網。渝萬、成達萬、渝西等高鐵加快建設，將成為全國少有的擁有5條高鐵的區縣城市。到2027年,實現1小時到宜昌,2小時到西安、武漢,3小時到鄭州：到2030年,萬州到北上廣僅需5小時。
航空：開通北上廣深等航線30多條，旅客年吞吐量達115萬人次，是重慶“一大四小”民用機場格局中首個路身全國“百萬級”機場的支線機場。
公路：已建成5條高速公路,80公里城市環線高速全線貫通,實現周邊區縣1小時通達。
